Two plans. Everything you do on your own machine is free for ever, and so are readers — however many people you hand the system to.
What each plan includes
The table on the Plans page is generated from the same module that enforces the gates, so it cannot list a feature the product does not actually gate. In short:
Free — the whole editor offline and unlimited local libraries, one cloud
library, share links, every export, the committable design/ bundle, the
offline documentation folder, and a scan report covering your score, the counts
and the top ten findings of each kind with their file locations.
Pro — everything above, plus:
- Every finding in a scan report, the remediation plan (Now / Next / Later)
and the accessibility section, and the full
report.jsonexport - Multiple cloud libraries
- Version history — every save, who made it, and stepping back
- Hosted docs that stay fresh — republished on every save
- Your own patterns — write patterns, reword Tostada's, and add images
- Five editor or admin seats. Readers stay unlimited and free
Seats
A seat is an editor or an admin. Readers never count, on any plan: the whole point of a design system is that more people read it than edit it, and charging for that would be charging for the thing working.
Pro includes five. Inviting a sixth editor is refused with a note in the invite form — readers still work, and more seats are a conversation for now. Nobody is ever removed or demoted because of the ceiling; it only refuses additions.
How to upgrade
Settings → Plan & billing → Get Pro, from any locked screen's link, or from the Plans page.
Card payment is not switched on yet. Clicking Get Pro records the request and we set your organisation up by hand, same day, no call. Your Plan & billing page says the request is open until it has been done, so you can close the tab.
Complimentary Pro
Some engagements include a period of Pro — typically twelve months. Those organisations see "Pro until {date} — included with your engagement" on the Plan & billing card, with no billing to manage. A banner appears a month before it ends, and again in the last week.
When it ends, the ordinary free-plan rules apply again. Nothing is deleted.
What happens if you go back to Free
This is worth reading before you decide, rather than after.
Nothing is deleted. Ever. A plan decides what you can read, never what exists.

Because history is recorded whatever the plan, coming back to Pro shows you the past that was kept while you were away — not a timeline starting from the day you returned.
VAT and invoices
Invoices, payment method and cancellation move into Plan & billing when card payment is switched on. Until then we invoice manually and prices are quoted excluding VAT.
